The winter holiday season is right around the corner! Here are our tips for making the most of the season and enjoying this special time with family and friends:

Holiday Decorating
Decorating your home (both indoors and outdoors) is a fun part of the holiday season. Try to be eco-friendly in your decorating projects this year by reusing decorations or making new ones from items you already have around the house.

  • Repurpose used wrapping paper and ribbons to create unique and festive ornaments - this is a great family activity.
  • Create a wreath using foliage from your garden. Collect pinecones, cedar, pine, or fur trimmings and holly to put together a unique wreath - you can even set it out to dry and use it again next year!
  • When choosing festive lighting, select LED lights that use less energy, or solar lights that are powered by the sun. These lights will also save you money on your energy bill!

Tidying Your Home
You will likely have many guests coming and going from your home this time of year, and it can be hard work keeping it tidy and sparkling clean.

  • Natural cleaning products can help you clean up your home for holiday gatherings without the threat of harmful toxins found in other types of cleaning products.
  • You can also spoil your overnight guests with soft, clean and fresh sheets. Make them feel welcomed in your home with a cozy room that reminds them of a hotel stay - put a stack of fluffy towels on their bed, and make their room smell great with a natural air freshener!
  • Keep on top of your household chores by tidying just a little every day. Ask your family to pitch in to help your home look great throughout the holidays.
  • The holiday season is also a great time to de-clutter your home. Give away any gently used items you no longer use to a charity to family in need to make someone else's holiday bright.

Spend Time With Family
Your family members likely have some time off around the holidays, so plan to enjoy activities like crafting, decorating, and cooking holiday treats together.

  • Choose a festive craft to make, whether it be holiday greeting cards, a gingerbread house or custom gift wrap.
  • Try cooking a special holiday meal with your loved ones. Here are some great ideas for family-friendly recipes that are fun to make together.
  • Don't forget to spend some time outdoors and get some fresh air doing activities such as skating, building snowmen and sledding!

Remember, the most important part of the holiday season is enjoying time with your loved ones. Nature Clean wishes you a happy and healthy holiday season!
