80% Less Plastic...now that's better!

The entire Nature Clean team is excited about the launch of our new eco refills^® and hope you will be too!

Nature Clean^® has been providing consumers with non-toxic and biodegradable alternatives for over 40 years. With such a large product selection now available we thought it would be the perfect time to shift our efforts slightly and focus on packaging, the question is and was: How can we, at Nature Clean^®, reduce the amount of packaging our consumers are using?

The lastest statistics show that only 25% of everything we take to the curb for recycling actually gets recycled.* So we thought we'd started at the beginning with the first 'R', how can we REDUCE the amount of plastic being used. We came up with a couple of concepts but in the end, it was decided that the eco refill^® would be our first attempt at providing a solution.

If we reduce plastic in the first place, then there's less energy and waste used to create the packaging, to transport it and to recycle and dispose of it. That means less dependency on nasty petro-chemicals used to make plastic.  Our eco refills^® help do just that.

These little boxes pack a whole lot of good news for the environment. Up to 85% less plastic**, a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions in transportation and a whole lot less waste heading to our landfills. 

What's even better is that we've had a tremendous amount of support from retailers and consumers regarding this idea and the steps we're taking to reduce the amount of packaging we use.

P.S. Oh yeah, one more great thing about our eco refills, you can send the inner bag and spout back to us. Our goal...to have them grind up and turned into plastic lumber to make outdoor chairs, decking and picnic tables. Hey, maybe someday we'll sell those too :)
