BPA FREE...and we can prove it.
Nature Clean works hard to be as safe as possible; safe for the environment, safe for your family and safe for your health.
In addition to making sure our formulations are safe we’ve also gone the extra step to make sure our packaging is safe as well. What does that mean?! Well we’ve been in contact with every one of our plastic suppliers and had them submit documents and declarations confirming that the bottles we’re purchasing from them are BPA (Bisphenol-A) free.
Bisphenol-A is commonly found in the #7 (polycarbonate) plastic bottles. Many studies have found that BPA interferes with hormones and can possibly simulate the action of estrogen when tested in human breast cancer cells. As a result of some of these findings the Government of Canada recently put forward regulations that will ‘prohibit the importation, sale and advertising of polycarbonate baby bottles that contain bisphenol a (BPA)’ (Government of Canada protects families with Bisphenol A Regulations, www.hc-sc.gc.ca, October 17 2008).
While this is a great step forward in eliminating BPA in certain products, there are others out there that still might cause some concern. Recently a study was conducted on pop cans and energy drink cans, the results were that 85% of the sample tested contained a ‘safe’ level of BPA, to read more about the findings, click here.
The Environmental Defence has just launched a new campaign to remove BPA from the cans for certain pops and energy drinks. To learn more about this campaign or to sign their petition, click here.
