Movember and Men's Health Awareness

Each November, thousands of men and women participate in Movember, sporting moustaches to raise funds and awareness for men's health, specifically prostate cancer. Last year, Canadian Mo Bros and Mo Sistas raised over $22.3 million CAD!

November’s Non-Ingredient of the Month: Cocamide

Cocamide is a chemically-modified form of coconut oil. It forms the structural basis of many surfactants, which act as detergents, emulsifiers and foaming or thickening agents. It is found in many chemicals such as DEA, DEA-CETYL phosphates, DEA OLETH-3 phosphates, Myristamide DEA, Stearamide MEA, Cocamide MEA, Lauramide MEA, Oleamide DEA, and TEA-Lauryl Sulfate. These ingredients can be found in the majority of body care products, including shampoo, hand soap, makeup and facial cleansers to give them a better consistency.
