Holiday Clean-Up! Keep Your Clean-Up Green This Holiday Season

Posted in

The holidays are over, and you most likely have replaced your list of things to buy, with a list of things to clean-up. Rather than tossing everything in the garbage, and going crazy with bleach and other cleaners, consider a green, natural clean-up. With a little time management and organization you can clean and be environmentally friendly all at once without using harmful toxic cleaners!

Don’t Lose Your Focus

Often times we get overwhelmed at the thought of cleaning up after a big holiday extravaganza. Instead of having a panic attack, get started by cleaning one room at a time. Focusing on one area at a time will keep you feeling less overwhelmed.

Clean the Safe Way

You hosted a holiday party. You knew how many people were in your home drinking wine, eating delicious food and mingling about. But what you didn’t know until now is that someone spilled wine on your carpets, in addition to a few other mysterious food stains. Perhaps your first instinct is to grab a bottle of bleach and let it soak in.

Rather than soaking your carpets in toxins, Nature Clean’s Pet Stain & Odour Remover will do the trick. It’s a more natural, safer, and effective way of cleaning up what you’re guests left behind.

Think Twice About What You Toss

Look around the room and see what can be recycled. The problem with holiday clean-ups is that there is often so much stuff to deal with. This creates a problem, because we fall into the tendency of just throwing everything out. An example of this is wrapping paper. Oh yes. You know – the stuff we throw into a garbage bag even though we meant to recycle it. Instead of throwing it away, fold up what can be saved and reuse it next year, or simply stick it in a recycling container as everyone un-wraps their gifts.

Have a Safe and Happy Holiday AFTER The Holidays Too

Nature Clean® encourages you to do a safer, friendlier clean up this year after the holidays.  Stay away from toxic compounds. We all wish friends and family a safe and happy holiday – so why not keep friends and family safe after the holidays too!

Here’s a great tip: Why not make an inventory of the decorations you have. This way you can decide what you really need to buy next year. And be aware when purchasing decorations. Tinsel may look pretty, but it’s difficult to re-use, and most of us end up throwing it out. Look for alternatives to these decorations that you know you will be able to re-use for years to come.
