Hopefully everyone enjoyed Earth Hour, and made a meaningful contribution to the cause. But now it’s time to get even more serious! Earth Day, or better yet, Earth life. By that we mean living healthy, living friendly and living happily.
It’s no surprise that indoor air pollution exists and has, over the years, become a problem. Our homes are tightly sealed to protect heat and air loss. Meanwhile everything we bring into our homes is staying there!
To actively aid in preventing the destruction of our planet, rid your life and your home of harmful toxic solutions such as household cleaners containing Ethylene Diamine Tetra Acetic Acid (EDTA) and Parabens (as mentioned in our Non-ingredients post in March). A toxic free home is a defining characteristic of a toxic free environment. Now doesn’t that sound desirable? It’s actually quite easy to achieve, so please don’t panic or feel overwhelmed. Nature Clean® is here to guide you along your journey. It’s as simple as one, two, three!
ONE: Say goodbye. Take the everyday basics of cleaning. Now visualize what products you use, and try to think how many of them pass the green test. Don’t like the answer? Then it’s time to make a change. By swapping out your old harmful (toxic) cleaners and replacing them with natural products, you will minimize the pollution inside your home and set you and your family on a cleaner path to a healthier future. With healthy alternatives like Natural Household Disinfectant and Glass and Window Cleaner, there is no reason not to get on board.

TWO: Get involved. Plant a tree in your own backyard! Living in an apartment? Use your green thumb on a smaller scale. House plants are just as effective and can really spice up the look of your space! Not to mention, plants will improve indoor air quality.

Love the look it brought to your home? Spread the word and suggest to your office a “take a plant to work month!” Brighten up your work environment and share the clean air with your co-workers. This brings us to the final step. It’s a fun one, don’t worry.
THREE: Inspire others. Maybe when you are having the girls over for a coffee or celebrating your child’s birthday with an overflowing guest list take the opportunity to spread the word on how you keep your house looking great and clean while staying green. When you share your home, share your secrets. That way you’re also inviting helpful tips back. What could be better than a great idea shared among friends? And even better when it helps you, your loved ones and the planet!
