We know that March 17th is all about the green: green shamrocks, leprechauns, clothes and even green food! This St. Patrick's Day, why not make your whole home green as well?
After you celebrate the Irish, try some green cleaning. Nature Clean® products can help you to make your home smell and feel clean… and green! Clean safely with toxin-free & environmentally friendly products before and after your celebration. Here are some suggestions to make your home, your family and guests healthy & green at the same time!

Preparing for Your Celebration

The decorations are up, and you’re in the green spirit! Now it’s time to prepare some party snacks.

  • Make sure your kitchen surfaces are clean before you prepare your dishes to avoid cross contamination - the transfer of harmful bacteria from utensils, kitchen tools and food to other foods. You don’t want to give your guests an upset stomach!
  • If you’ve got any fruits or veggies on the menu, be aware that most surface pesticides can’t be removed with water alone. They’re water resistant! Don’t let the contaminants hide from you – use a produce wash to get rid of them.
  • Remember to wash your hands with soap and warm water before and after you handle food. This is especially important if you are handling raw meat.

After the Party

Once your St. Paddy's Day celebrations are over, keep up the green theme with your cleanup!

  • Don't throw away all of your decorations! See what can be reused for next year, use them for another holiday or birthday party, or re-use the decorations as craft supplies for the kids.
  • Got leftovers? Save them safely by refrigerating or freezing them within 2 hours (or sooner) to prevent harmful bacteria from multiplying. Try to store in containers that wont leach chemicals into your food, think of glass, BPA and phthalate free plastics that are approved for freezing.
  • Wipe down your kitchen surfaces again using toxin-free cleaning products to keep your home looking and smelling clean long after the party.

Nature Clean® wishes everyone a happy, green - and clean - St. Patrick’s Day!
